DAYS OF REMEMBRANCE OCTOBER 25 NOVEMBER 9, 2008
With the Days of Remembrance we recall the aerial pesticide sprayings for Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM).
In the fall of 2007 the state of California sprayed pesticides over Santa Cruz and Monterey counties in pursuit of the LBAM.
On October 2007 Monterey was sprayed for the second time; November 8-9 was the date of the Santa Cruz spray.
For now the planes are grounded, but the damage done to the people and the environment of the Monterey Bay area
has never been addressed. Join us to mark the suffering, demand accountability, and imagine a better, greener future.
* Observe a minute of silence on October 25 at 8 pm, the hour when the sprayings began
* Light a candle and put it in your window during the Days of Remembrance.
